Daniel Ahmad, a video game industry analyst, explained the reason for the review bombing in a thread on Twitter. This is at least partially due to review-bombing from Total War fans in China. On Steam, Total War: Warhammer 3’s reviews are mixed, however, with only 58% of the reviews being positive. Although the latest Total War game has only just been released to general audiences, player reviews are already rolling. Total War: Warhammer 3 received wholly positive critic reviews, with 100% positive reviews and 88 on critic review aggregator Metacritic. However, it's likely it'll be announced shortly, now that Total War: Warhammer 3 has been released. The release date for this free update has yet to be announced by the game's developer, Creative Assembly. This functionality isn't available in the new Warhammer game at launch but will arrive in a free update sometime in the following months, allowing players who own all three games in the trilogy to combine them into one huge Total War: Warhammer battle and campaign. Like its predecessor, Total War: Warhammer 3 will offer a way to combine the campaigns of all the Total War: Warhammer games, similar to Total War: Warhammer 2’s Mortal Empires. The latest installment in the Warhammer 40K series, Warhammer 40K: Darktide, was delayed, but is expected to release in 2022 and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. Several Warhammer games that are not part of the Total War: Warhammer series are available on the platform, including several in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Total War: Warhammer 3 is the only Total War game available on Xbox Game Pass currently.
